Advancing Brain Tumor Research: A New Phase 0/1 clinical trial at the Ivy Brain Tumor Center
The Ivy Brain Tumor Center announces the activation of a new clinical trial evaluating a B7-H3-targeted antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), risvutatug rezetecan (Ris-Rez), in recurrent grade 4 glioma and brain metastases. Ris-Rez is designed to deliver a therapeutic payload to tumor cells that express B7-H3.
This study will characterize the pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD) and safety of Ris-Rez. PK analyses will assess the drug’s ability to penetrate brain tumors. PD assessments will examine the drug’s biological effects in tumor tissue, including treatment-associated changes in DNA, RNA, and protein expression.
Together, these data will provide important insight into how Ris-Rez behaves in human brain tumors and how tumor cells respond at a molecular level. This work will help guide therapeutic development and contribute to Ivy Center’s ongoing efforts to accelerate treatment options for patients with aggressive brain tumors.
