Ivy Brain Tumor Center Appoints New Chief Medical Officer

Yoshie Umemura, MD, was recently appointed as Chief Medical Officer of the Ivy Brain Tumor Center and Chief of Neuro-Oncology and the William and Joan Shapiro Chair of Neuro-Oncology at Barrow Neurological Institute. The Arizona Diamondbacks hosted an incredible game dedicated to brain tumor awareness! The Ivy Center is incredibly thankful for the generosity of the Nicole Hazen Fund for Hope, which donated $200,000 to support our research efforts. The impact of this donation was further amplified by The Women’s Board of Barrow Neurological Foundation and The Rick Oehme Foundation, who matched the contribution, resulting in a total contribution of $400,000. Additionally, the D-backs Give Back 50/50 Raffle raised over $40,000 from the fantastic support of attendees.
